National leaders gear for mega rallies in Tamilnadu

Electioneering in Tamil Nadu is reaching its peak and many national leaders are set to address mega political rallies in the days to come. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address rallies in Hosur and Chennai on Friday, while Congress president Sonia Gandhi will share dais with the DMK chief M. Karunanidhi in Chennai on Thursday. 

On the other hand, State leaders are making whirlwind tours to garner support for their candidates as the May 16 poll for the 234-seat Assembly is approaching fast. 

Meanwhile, the AIADMK has in a memorandum sought the Election Commission to reverse the transfers of officials, saying the opposition



DMK has made it a political capital. 

However, the BJP former state president Ela.Ganesan in Kanchipuram has welcomed the EC action. The DMK treasurer MK Stalin in Krishnagiri criticised that the AIADMK government organized the investors’ summit at the end of its tenure and all the investment promises appear just a mirage. 

The DMDK leader Vijayakanth at Ariyalur said the AIADMK and the DMK bank upon money power to win the elections. The state Congress president EVKS Elangovan at Ooty blamed, the BJP is misleading the public on the AgustaWestland chopper deal to divert their attention in view of the five-state election.
