Navjot Singh Sidhu accepts invite for Imran Khan's swearing-in ceremony as Pakistan PM

The Punjab cabinet minister said that it was an “honour” to be invited

Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has said that he would be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan as Pakistan's Prime Minister, slated for August 11

Terming the invite by Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as a great honour for him, Mr. Sidhu said that he will accept the



invitation.

“It’s an honour and I accept the invitation. Men of genius are admired, men of power are feared, but men of character are trusted. Khan Sahab is a man of character and can be trusted,” Mr. Sidhu said in a statement.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party had on Wednesday said it will send formal invitations to former Indian cricketers Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Bollywood actor Aamir Khan for the ceremony.
