The National Commission for Minorities yesterday held a meeting with representatives from 18 states and Union Territories to discuss the implementation and registration of Sikh marriages under the Anand Marriage Act. Minority Affairs Ministry said that the States including Jharkhand, Maharashtra, and Meghalaya have



reported the implementation of the Act and others States and UTs have assured that they will do it within two months. 

The meeting held via video conference, was presided over by the Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities.
