NCT of Delhi Amendment Act comes into effect

The Centre has notified 27th April as the date on which provisions of the NCT of Delhi Amendment Act come into force.

Now, government in Delhi means

Lieutenant Governor. The city government will now have to seek the opinion of the Lieutenant Governor before taking any executive action.
