Imphal: The Chairperson of National Commission for Women Rekha Sharma met Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Tuesday and discussed the ongoing crisis in the State and its impact to women.
 
The Chairperson also visited Churachandpur district from where the ethnic violence erupted from third of May. Mrs. Rekha Sharma arrived Imphal few days ago and the team of NCW is expected to leave Imphal today.
 
It may be mentioned that the NCW has taken suo motu cognisance of an alleged incident of women being paraded naked in Manipur and asked the State police chief to take prompt action in the



matter
 
On the other hand, the Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women Swati Maliwal along with Commission's member Vandana Singh called on Governor of Manipur Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan in Imphal yesterday and apprised of the prevailing condition of violence affected people who have been staying in different relief camps in the State.
 
The team of Delhi Commission of Women has visited relief camps in Imphal, Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts and interacted with people especially women and heard about their grievances and problems.
