In view of deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar, NDA leaders have demanded imposition of President Rule in the state. Submitting a memorandum to Governor Ram Nath Kovind, the NDA delegation said, people have lost confidence in Nitish-led grand alliance government in the state. They said, political opponents are being murdered in full public view. Last week besides LJP leader Brijnathi Singh, BJP leader Visheshwar Ojha and Kedar Singh were shot dead. According to Police website 213 people were murdered in November and 229 in December.
The delegation included State BJP President Mangal Pandey,
opposition leader Prem Kumar, Hindustani Awam Morcha President Jitan ram Manjhi, LJP leader Chirag Paswan and Rastriya Lok samta Party Leader Arun kumar. After submitting the memorandum in Patna yesterday, Mr Mangal Pandey said, the Governor has been requested to instruct Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to improve law and order in the state. Jitan Ram Manjhi and Chirag Paswan said, the opposition leaders are being targeted and murdered. Meanwhile Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has claimed that the State had witnessed speedy decline in crime and termed the alleged spurt in crime graph as a perception created by the opposition.
