NDMA emphsizes on need to create awareness among people about lightning

In view of recent deaths of people in several parts of the country  due to lightning, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has emphasized the need to create awareness among the people about lightning and precautions to be taken to avoid any untoward  incident.

Vatsa highlighted the steps to be followed  by the people for safety during the lightning.

He said, when lightning strikes or there is a possibility of such incident one should avoid being in the field  and take shelter inside a large building .
