The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reviewed the status of Nipah virus outbreak reported from Kerala at a meeting in New Delhi yesterday.
According to the official release, representatives from Kerala apprised the NDMA about the efforts being made by the State Government in tackling and containing the outbreak.
They said, the situation is under control and there is
no need to panic. The release said, experts from National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Health Ministry and other hospitals including AIIMS, New Delhi are already working with the State Government on the ground.
The Authority said, though there is no need to panic but every one should be prepared to take any necessary action at a short notice.
