Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) R Alice Vaz yesterday informed that nearly one crore 56 lakh 14 thousand electors will be voting in the upcoming Delhi Polls. Briefing the media about the poll-preparedness in New Delhi today, the CEO informed that special initiatives have been taken to enhance Voter Comfort and Accessibility across polling stations.
She added that voting will take place at 13 thousand seven hundred sixty polling stations in the National Capital. Further, the CEO unveiled an Artificial
Intelligence-based Queue Management System and Colour-Coded Booths for Seamless Voting. The app will help the voters avoid long queues. She noted more than 35 thousand Delhi Police personnel, 19 thousand home guards and 220 CAPF coys will be deployed to ensure security on the day of voting.
Ms Vaz also informed that 70 polling stations to encourage youth participation and 70 All Women-managed Polling Stations to promote Gender Inclusivity will also be set up during the voting process.
