NIA arrests wanted Naxal from Katihar district in Bihar

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today arrested a wanted Naxal from Katihar district in Bihar in connection with the recovery of arms and ammunition and funds from Naxals at Muzaffarpur in Bihar.

The Naxalite was identified as Umesh Kumar Yadav alias Abhimanyu Ji. The case was registered on April 14 this year



under various sections Arms Act, Explosive Substance Act and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. With this arrest, the agency has arrested four accused so far in this case. 

Umesh would be produced before the NIA Special Court, Patna tomorrow, an NIA statement said.
