The National Investigation Agency (NIA) yesterday attached two properties of the sons of designated terrorists and Hizb-Ul-Mujahideen's (HM) Supreme Commander Syed Mohammed Yusuf Shah. The two immovable properties of Shahid Yusuf and Syed Ahmed Shakeel located in Kashmir have been attached under section 33(1) of the UA( P) Act. Both sons are currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail since their arrest in 2017 and
2018.
According to the NIA, the duo had been receiving funds from abroad from the associates of their father and overground workers of HM. India designated Syed Mohammed Yusuf Shah as an individual terrorist in October 2020. The NIA stated that he has continued to operate from Pakistan since he fled to the country in 1993.
