NIA raids house of prominent Kashmiri businessman in Srinagar

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) yesterday conducted a fresh raid at the residence of a prominent businessman Ajaz Ahmad Hakak in the old Srinagar city area. The raid was connected to the terror funding case in which several separatist leaders and a prominent businessman are already in New Delhi's Tihar jail. There was no report of any seizures from the house till



now. 

NIA sources said, sleuths of NIA assisted by J&K Police reached early morning and conducted extensive searches at Hakak’s residence in Khawaja Bazaar area of Nowhatta in old Srinagar. In July this year, the NIA had arrested seven separatist leaders on charges of criminal conspiracy and waging war against India.
