National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani's elder son Nayeem Zafar Geelani to appear before it at its headquarters in New Delhi today. He has been summoned in connection with the probe into the terror funding case in Kashmir Valley. Officials of NIA also said, that Naseem Geelani, the second son of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, has also been summoned to appear before it on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a Hurriyat
spokesman said, Nayeem has been admitted to Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar. The spokesman said, he has been kept in the ICU after he complained of chest pain yesterday.
NIA conducted raids at two places belonging to a close aide of Syed Ali Shah Geelani in Jammu yesterday. Officials said, the NIA raided the office and residence of a lawyer amid allegations about his close proximity with Geelani.
