Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav in his chamber for a meeting on Tuesday.
Tejaswi arrived for a cabinet meeting on Tuesday along with state health minister and his brother Tej Pratap Yadav.
28-year-old Yadav was charged with corruption on allegations of awarding the tender for development, maintenance and operation of hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006.
The CBI also conducted raids on properties linked to RJD chief Lalu Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi.
Following the raids, the Janta Dal (United) ((JD(U)) had asked Lalu Yadav to come clean on
the sources of his assets after the raids.
Meanwhile, the BJP demanded Tejaswi Yadav's resignation or be sacked from the party.
BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi had said, "Tejaswi Yadav has only two options, either tender his resignation or get sacked. Nitish Kumar should stand firm in seeking Tejashwi's resignation."
However, Lalu Yadav maintained that his son would remain Bihar's Deputy chief minister and not quit, following which Tejaswi had termed his resignation as "rumours in the media.
Tejaswi had also skipped an event on July 15 where he was to share dais with Nitish Kumar.
