Saturdays will be no bag days in all government schools in Uttar Pradesh. The decision was taken at a high-level committee meeting headed by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Secondary Education Dr Dinesh Sharma in Lucknow yesterday. There are around 1.8 crore children studying in 1.7 lakh government schools in 75 districts of the state. Dr Sharma has instructed to submit a proposal in this regard within a week. 

The government is committed for betterment of girls education hence



it was decided to start co-education system in government inter colleges. Now girls could be admitted in government boys schools. The meeting decided that teachers could not be put on extra duties, barring election, natural calamity and census, which hampers teaching activities and education standard in schools. To eliminate corruption and irregularity it was decided to prepare digital data base of teachers. The matter of arbitrary fee in private schools was also discussed in meeting.
