The Defence Ministry has said that no cases, withdrawn in 2019, are being reopened regarding disability pensions to veterans. The Ministry has termed the media report in this regard as misleading and factually incorrect. It said, the Ministry has gone for appeal only in those cases where the Medical Boards have clearly stated that injury

or disability is Neither Attributable Nor Aggravated (NANA) by military service.

The Ministry said, the Government is sensitive towards the matter of disability arising out of military service and strongly stands behind the country's brave soldiers.
