Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there will be no lockdown in state as of now.
After a review meeting on covid situation, on Tuesday he said that government has only imposed night curfew and there is no need for lockdown.
He has also appealed to the people of state to not to pay heed to rumours.
Yogi Adityanath said that Central and state governments are working together in the fight against coronavirus.
He had directed state officials to continue the effective action to control Covid-19 as per the goal of 'Test, Trace, Treat'.
State government will establish 12 RT PCR test labs in different districts to augment covid testing.
Government has also fixed the rates of covid test
in private labs.
The Chief Minister on Tuesday virtually reviewed the status of Covid-19 in the state.
He said that the medical system should be strengthened by paying special attention to the districts of Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Prayagraj.
He said that in the next few days at least 1.5 lakh tests should be done daily through the RTPCR method.
Out of the total available ambulance vehicles in each district, 50 percent of the vehicles will be used for Covid patients and the rest for non-Covid patients.
Chief Minister along with governor of the state on Tuesday had a meeting with religious heads and asked their support in creating awareness among people regarding the second wave of coronavirus.
