No proof against Lt.Col Purohit in Samjhauta blast case: NIA

National Investigation Agency has said there is no proof against Lt Col Prasad Purohit in the Samjhauta blast case. 

NIA Director General Sharad Kumar told PTI that Lt Col Purohit was never an accused Samjhauta blast case and he wonders why his name is being linked to the case. 

The NIA has filed charge sheet against eight people in connection



with Samjhauta blast case which includes Naba Kumar Sarkar alias Swami Asimanand. 

Mr Kumar said, Lt. Col Purohit has been chargesheeted by ATS Mumbai in 2008 Malegaon blasts case and NIA is carrying out further investigations in the matter. 

The probe was initially conducted by the Maharashtra ATS and later handed over to the NIA.
