Commercial operations at Noida’s Jewar airport, which was set to begin from April 17, has been delayed. The new date for is yet to be decided.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to chair a meeting on March 10 to determine a revised timeline for the launch of operations.
The airport is awaiting an aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which
is now expected to be issued by the end of April.
The Jewar international airport is touted to be the largest airport in Asia.
The Noida airport plans on offering 25 domestic routes and 5 international routes to destinations such as Dubai, Singapore, and Zurich.
Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, the airport will serve as an international hub for the northern region of India.
