In Madhya Pradesh, nominations for assembly elections will begin today with the issuance of notification. The state will go to polls on November 28. So far no major political party has announced the names of its candidates.
According to sources, BJP and Congress may release the first list of their candidates today. Nomination forms can be submitted at the office of the Returning Officer from today to 9th November between 11 a.m. to 3
p.m.
As per the election commission's guidelines, a separate bank account for election expenses will be opened by each candidate. candidates are also required to submit form-26 along with the affidavit furnishing detail about the criminal cases.
More than five crore voters, comprising 2 crore 62 lakh male, 2 crore 40 lakh female and one thousand four hundred ten third-gender voters would be able to exercise their franchise.
