Dense fog and low visibility engulfed the Delhi-NCR today, affecting flight and rail operations. As many as 44 Delhi-bound trains and several flights have been reported delayed. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense to very dense fog conditions during the night and early morning hours in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan tomorrow and in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh over the next two days. 

According to IMD, dense fog conditions are also likely to prevail in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya,



Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura over the next two to three days. The Met Department has also predicted cold day conditions in Himachal Pradesh tomorrow. It added that heavy rainfall will lash the Nicobar Islands tomorrow, and isolated rainfall is likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha tomorrow as well. 

The weather department also predicted scattered rainfall and snowfall over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh tomorrow.
