Notification for 1st phase of Gujarat Assembly elections to be issued today

The notification for the first phase of two-phase Gujarat Assembly elections will be issued today.The last date of filing of nominations is the 21st of this month, while scrutiny will be held the next day. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is the 24th.

89 of the 182 Assembly



constituencies will go to polls in the first phase on the 9th of next month. Polling for the remaining 93 seats will be held on the 14th.

The counting of votes will be taken up on the 18th of next month along with Himachal Pradesh which went to polls in a single phase last week.
