Notification for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections will be issued today. 115 constituencies, spread over 14 States and Union Territories, will go to polls in this phase on the 23rd of next month.

Elections will be held in all 26 seats of Gujarat; all 20 in Kerala; 14 seats each in Karnataka and Maharashtra; ten in Uttar Pradesh; seven in Chhattisgarh; six in Odisha; five each in Bihar and West Bengal; four in Assam; two in Goa; and one each in Jammu and Kashmir, Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

Along with the Lok Sabha polls, 42 seats of the Odisha Assembly will go to polls in this phase.

The last date for filing nominations is the 4th of next month. Scrutiny will take place the next day, with 8th being the last day for withdrawal of candidature.

Meanwhile, today is the last day for withdrawing nominations for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. Ninety one constituencies, across 20 States and Union Territories, will go to polls in the first phase on the 11th of next month. All 25 seats of Andhra Pradesh and 17 from Telangana will go to polls in this phase.

Other constituencies going to polls are, eight in Uttar



Pradesh; seven in Maharashtra; five each in Assam and Uttarakhand; four each in Bihar and Odisha; two each in Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya; and one each in Chhattisgarh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar, and Lakshadweep.

All 175 Assembly constituencies of Andhra Pradesh, 28 of the total 147 segments in Odisha, all 32 Assembly seats in Sikkim and all 60 constituencies in Arunachal Pradesh will also go to polls in this phase.

Scrutiny of nominations for the second phase of Lok Sabha polls was held on Wednesday. Ninety seven constituencies, spread over 13 States and Union Territories, will go to polls in this phase. In Tamil Nadu all 39 seats; 10 constituencies in Maharashtra; 8 in Uttar Pradesh; five each in Assam, Bihar and Odisha; three each in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal; two in Jammu and Kashmir; and one each in Manipur, Tripura and Puducherry will go to polls in the second phase on the 18th of next month.

Three Assembly constituencies of Goa - Mandrem, Mapusa and Siroda - and two Assembly seats in Gujarat - Unjha and Talala - will go to by-polls in the third phase.
