Odisha is celebrating its 86th statehood day today. It was on this day in 1936 that the state came into existence. A number of programs are being organised across the state to mark the occasion. The programs include the state level function in the capital Bhubaneswar in the
evening.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be the chief guest. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan too will have a live interaction with odia brothers and sisters through Facebook from the banks of Hugli river in Kolkata at 9:00 a.m.
