In Odisha, Covid-19 recovery rate continues to rise with each passing day. As many as 1297 persons recovered yesterday taking the total recovery in the state to 2,99,159. On the other hand 749 persons were reported positive during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,09,408.
With the present rate of recovery, the state is just a day away from crossing the three lakh mark. The sustained growth in recovery has caused a significant de-growth in the active caseload of the
state which has gone down below ten thousand.
Meanwhile, in yet another proactive step against the virus, the state government has prohibited Chhath Puja and mass bathing at river banks and ghats on the 20th and 21st of this month.
People of the state too have been cooperating with the administration by adopting an anti-congregational approach particularly during religious occasions, be it Dussehra or Diwali.
