Bhubaneswar: A police officer from Odisha's Malkangiri district has been intercepted by vigilance sleuths for carrying huge cash suspected to be ill gotten money in a private vehicle on Wednesday.

Sushant Sahu, IIC Motu PS, Malkangiri was intercepted by Odisha Vigilance at Khordha while traveling from Motu to his house at Phulnakhara, Cuttack by a private vehicle, carrying huge cash of Rs.2.8 lakh



which he could not account for satisfactorily.

He is being interrogated further in this connection. The house searches are being launched at Motu, Malkangiri and two locations in Cuttack, according to the Odisha Vigilance.
