Titlagarh in western Odisha town continued to remain the hottest place in the State despite the mercury dropped to 46 degrees Celsius yesterday from Sunday’s record temperature of 48.5 degrees Celsius. 14 districts recorded maximum temperature above 40 degrees Celsius. 
People in coastal Odisha had some relief from



the scorching sun as temperature came down by about 2 degrees and some places received light rainfall. Keeping in view the unrelenting heat wave, the State government has declared summer vacation in schools from today.Meanwhile, the Special Commissioner’s office said, it received information about 99 sun stroke deaths.
