One CISF jawan and four others were killed in a Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada on Thursday.

Two other personnel were injured in the attack in which IED was used to target a CISF bus in near Bacheli in Dantewada.

This is the third such attack in Chhattisgarh within a span of two weeks.

"One CISF jawan and four civilians lost their lives and two injured in the attack today. Morale of the forces will not be affected due to these attacks. The



upcoming assembly elections will be conducted peacefully," V Sinha, IG Bastar told ANI.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the state on Friday to address a rally ahead of the November 12 elections.

On October 30, a Doordarshan crew was attacked in Dantewada while they were out to cover the poll preparations in the area ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.

In another attack, four CRPF jawans were killed in Chhattisgarh's Awapalli on October 27.
