Government has said that one crore 92 lakh SIM cards have been blocked across the country to crack down on cybercrime. Replying to supplementaries during the Question Hour in Rajya Sabha, Minister of state for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said, the government has a zero tolerance policy against cyber fraud.
He said, an
amount of two thousand 400 crore rupees have been saved in more than 7.6 lakh complaints under the Citizen Financial Cyber Frauds Reporting and Management System. Mr Chaudhary said, a toll free number 1930 has been operationalized to provide assistance to lodge complaints against cyber fraud.
