A person has died and at least 47 others have been rescued from the massive blaze that broke out at the ESIC Kamgar Hospital in Mumbai’s Andheri on Monday. The injured have been rushed to the hospital.
The rescue operation has been initiated and is currently underway. There has been no report of casualty so far. As many as 10 fire tenders are conducting the firefighting operations. A rescue van and 16 ambulances are present on the spot.
At least eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot in an
effort to douse the flames and evacuate the patients. As per an official, “Some people are feared trapped…rescue operation is going on.”

On November 13, at least two people were killed and several others sustained injuries after a fire broke out in a Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) building in Mumbai.
The incident had taken place on the 10th and 11th floor of the Kadam Chawl SRA building, near Oberoi Towers in Andheri West’s Veera Desai road.
