Kolkata: One person was killed and three others were injured after a clash broke out between some unidentified miscreants in Bhatpara area of West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Rambabu Shah, a 17-year-old boy. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital in a critical condition.
As per reports, crude bombs were hurled and gunshots were fired in the air by the miscreants, prompting police to use tear gas shells to disperse them.
The incident took place hours before the inauguration of a newly constructed police station in the
district.
To contain the situation, a team of police officers along with Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel has been deployed in the area, news agency.
The cause of the clash is yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited.

Earlier on June 11, two people were killed and four others injured in North 24 Parganas district after some unidentified assailants hurled crude bombs at a neighbourhood in the district’s Kankinara area.
