One terrorist gunned down in an encounter in Tral of Pulwama

In Jammu and Kashmir,a terrorist has been gunned down this morning in an encounter that has broken out between security forces and terrorists in Chewa Ullar area of Tral in South Kashmir's Pulwama district. As per police sources, a joint team of Police, Army’s 42 RR  and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation last evening, based on a specific input about the presence of terrorists in the area.

As the



joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them which was retaliated  resulting in a gunfight.

However, the operation was called off for the night but in the wee hours today, one  terrorist has been neutralised by the security forces so far. The identity of the terrorist is being ascertained. Operation is on.
