One terrorist killed in encounter in Baramulla district

In the Kashmir Valley, one heavily armed terrorist was neutralized in an encounter with security forces after a suspicious movement was spotted by the troops along LoC in the Uri area of Baramulla district. Police said the terrorists were challenged by the joint team of forces during an anti-infiltration operation launched by the Indian Army & Jammu & Kashmir Police in the



area. 

However, the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on security forces which was effectively retaliated resulting in the elimination of one terrorist. The identity of the slain terrorist is being ascertained. Security forces have recovered one AK Rifle, two AK Magazines, 57 AK Rounds, two Pistols, three Pistol Magazines and other war-like stores from the encounter site.
