The online application for Haj 2020 will start from 10th of this month and will continue till 10th of November. Briefing media in New Delhi today after holding a review meeting about preparation for Haj, Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said Haj 2020 will be 100 percent digital.
He said system has been developed to provide E-visa to all pligrims and application can also be submitted through mobile application. He said this year, one new Haj
embarkation point will be opened at Vijayawada in addition to earlier 21 such points in the country. Mr. Naqvi said this early announcement of Haj process will ensure better management regarding Haj in India and Saudi Arabia.
The Minister said Haj 2019 has been historic as a record number of 2 lakh Indian Muslims performed Haj without any subsidy.Replying to a question on Haj pilgrims of Jammu and Kashmir; he assured that they will not have any problem in this year's Haj.
