Opposition candidate Margaret Alva to file her nomination for Vice Presidential elections today

Margaret Alva, the opposition Vice Presidential candidate will file her nomination today.

NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar filed his nomination yesterday. He filed his nomination papers in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajanth Singh and Nitin Gadkari and NDA leaders. Talking to media outside Parliament, Mr. Dhankhar said, he never thought even in his dreams that a person with humble background like him will get this



opportunity. Mr. Dhankhar said, he will always strive to enhance democratic values of the country.

Today is the last date for filing nominations. The scrutiny of nominations will be done on 20th of this month while the last date to withdraw candidatures is 22nd of July. The polling will be held on the 6th of next month between 10 am and 5 pm and the counting of votes will be taken up on the same day.
