Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment Ramdas Athawale yesterday said the Opposition is running away from discussion on the Manipur violence issue in Parliament. Talking to media persons in Munger in Bihar, Mr Athawale said, the NDA government is trying to resolve the problem amicably through talks but the Opposition is taking political mileage from the issue.

He said,



the best solution to animosity between the Kuki and Meitei communities is only peaceful dialogue. In a reply to another question, Mr. Athawale said the NDA Government has made several provisions for the welfare of the Divyang category people. He said, reservation for this special category has been increased to four percent through enactment in government jobs.
