Over 29 crore unorganized workers registered on eShram portal so far: Govt replies in LS

Over 29 crore unorganized workers have been registered on the eShram portal so far and an eShram card has been issued to these workers. This was stated by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment Rameshwar Teli in a written reply in Lok Sabha

yesterday.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment launched the eShram portal in 2021 for the registration of unorganized workers. It allows unorganized workers to register themselves on the portal under 400 occupations in 30 broad occupation sectors.
