Over 64 per cent polling was recorded in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. 

59 constituencies spread over 7 states went to the polls in this phase yesterday. 

According to Election Commission's voter turnout App, West Bengal recorded the highest poll percentage of 81.69 followed by 70.07 per cent in Haryana and 65.26 per cent in Madhya Pradesh. 

While Jharkhand recorded a poll percentage of 64.50, it was 60.50 in Delhi, 59.29 per cent in



Bihar and 54.75 per cent in Uttar Pradesh. In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the polling percentage was 63.37 per cent.

Briefing media in New Delhi, senior Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha said, people including women and senior citizens came out in large numbers to cast their votes. 

He said out of 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, polling has been completed for 483 seats. He said, there was the lowest EVM replacement during the sixth phase of polling.
