Over 77% of Rural Households get Tap Water says Jal Shakti Minister

Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the government has provided tap water connections to over 77 per cent rural households across India. along with that, 15 crore households have been provided with tap water connection so far. Mr Patil added, according to a study, clean and safe drinking water provided to the households have saved over eight lakh crore rupees by eliminating diseases.
