In Kerala, over 7800 persons have been shifted to 203 relief camps set up at various places across the state. Pathanamthitta district has the highest number of 70 relief camps. Over 790 families have been lodged in these camps.

The state government said 32 houses were completely destroyed,  and over 640 partially, in the recent rains.

The Kottayam district administration has banned all quarrying activities till further



orders.

In Alappuzha, water level in Pampa, Achankovil, and Manimala rivers are showing a rising trend. A round-the-clock water ambulance, three mobile dispensaries, and a land mobile unit were introduced in the district by the State Health Department.

Although many parts of the state continue to receive intermittent showers, the amount of rainfall has come down considerably.
