Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has expressed hope that the Joint Committee of Parliament, constituted to review the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, is likely to submit its report by the first week of the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament. He said more than one crore representations have been received so far by the Committee.

achievements of the Ministry of Minority Affairs in the Modi 3.0 government, the Minister said, extensive consultations are underway and the Committee is seeking views and suggestions from various government and social organizations. He said, earlier also the amendments have been done in the Waqf Bill but this time consultations are taking place in a wider scale which is good for democracy.
