Defence Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday said that the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack will soon face a loud and clear response. Addressing a memorial lecture on Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh in New Delhi, Mr. Singh reiterated India’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. He said government will leave no stone unturned to give a befitting reply to those responsible for Pahalgam attack. Condemning the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Mr Singh extended his condolences to the bereaved families.
The Defence Minister underlined that India is such an ancient civilization and such a vast country that it cannot be intimidated by any such terrorist activities. The response to such actions will be seen by those responsible in a resounding manner in the coming times.
Remembering Air Force Marshal Arjan Singh, the Defence Minister said that he was not only a visionary military leader of his time
but his vision is equally relevant even today. He noted that Arjan Singh continues to serve as a source of inspiration for the Indian Air Force and the youth of the nation. He further highlighted the Marshal’s crucial role in the 1965 war against Pakistan, pointing out that it was under his visionary leadership that the Indian Air Force launched a counterattack within just one hour of the enemy’s aggression.
Mr Singh commended Indian Air Force, stating that in today’s era of technological revolution, Indian Air Force is not only embracing cutting-edge technologies but is also actively working on the development of next-generation fighter aircraft. He highlighted that the collaboration with premier institutions like Defence Research and Development Organisation, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited is advancing indigenous defence capabilities. Mr Singh mentioned that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the government is ensuring that whatever is the need of the Indian Air Force today and in the future, it is completely fulfilled.
