At least three Indian Army personnel were injured as Pakistani Army continued firing and shelling in the Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch districts in Jammu-Kashmir.

The Pakistani forces violated ceasefire at around 4.20 pm on Thursday, 8 February, in the area along the LoC. Intermittent firing has been going on since last night. Indian security forces



have been retaliating strongly and effectively.

A 45-year-old woman from Balnoie in the KG sector died when mortar shells from across the border fell on the hamlet.

Expressing her grief on the woman's death on Thursday, J-K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti called for opening of dialogue to prevent ceasefire violations.
