A five-member Joint Investigation Team, JIT from Pakistan which is in India to probe the possible involvement of a Pak based militant group in Pathankot airbase terror attack case, left for Pathankot from Delhi this morning. The team will be taken to locations associated with the terror attack case.
The team met officers of the National Investigation Agency, NIA in New Delhi yesterday. NIA gave a detailed presentation to the visiting team on the evidence collected with
regard to Pathankot attack case. The JIT reached New Delhi on Sunday. Briefing media in New Delhi yesterday, Inspector General of NIA, Sanjiv Kumar Singh said, the exercise is aimed at providing evidence to Pakistani probe team so that all those guilty of the terror attack could be prosecuted effectively in the neighbouring country.
This is the first time that Pakistani intelligence and police officials are traveling to India to investigate a terror attack case.
