Director General of J&K Police Dilbagh Singh on Thursday said that Pakistan is the main source of militancy. He said that the State police and other security forces are committed to neutralise and uproot militancy from the Union Territory. He said that successful operations were conducted and will continue to eliminate the remnants of militancy.
He said that the presence of a number of active militants has decreased, and efforts are on to finish the remaining. He said that the security grid on the borders and within the hinterlands is alert and active to thwart the nefarious designs of Pakistan-backed
anti-national elements.
The DGP was speaking to the media on the sidelines of a function at STC Talwara in Reasi district on Thursday. The DGP inaugurated a Conference Hall at STC Talwara.
Earlier, addressing the darbar of Border Battalion trainees at Talwara, the DGP said that with the day-in and day-out efforts of Jammu Kashmir Police and sacrifices of our fallen heroes, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are enjoying normal life, students are attending schools and other business activities are going on in full swing without any fear.
