In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani forces today again resorted to firing and heavy mortar shelling along the Line of Control in Poonch district. 

Defence sources said that the forces from across the Line of Control started unprovoked firing and shelling targeting Indian positions and civilian areas in Degwar sector of Poonch at about 9 a.m.. 

The troops guarding the borderline retaliated. The heavy exchange of fire continuing when last reported. Uptil now, there is no report of any casualty or injury from the Indian side.Rail passengers



will continue to enjoy service charge exemption on tickets booked online till March 2018. 

The government had waived service charges in November last year after demonetisation to encourage digital modes of booking. The facility had been extended to June 30 and then September 30. 

The Railway Board has directed Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) that the benefits be extended till March next year.Service charges on booking train tickets online through IRCTC ranges from Rs 20 to 40 per ticket.
