Pakistani troops resort to indiscriminate firing in Poonch district, J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, in yet another incident of ceasefire  violation, Pakistani troops resorted to indiscriminate and unprovoked  firing by targeting Indian forward posts and civilian areas in border district of Poonch today.

 

Defence Spokesman told that at about  0930 hrs Pakistani troops started firing small arms and shelling with



mortars in Qasba and Kirni sectors of Poonch district. The Indian troops retaliated and started giving a befitting reply to Pak firing.

 

The exchange of fire between the two sides was going on when the reports last came in. No loss of  life or damage was reported from this side. Further details are awaited.
