Pakistani troops violate ceasefire in Poonch district, J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops yet again violated ceasefire and resorted to indiscriminate and unprovoked  firing on Indian forward posts and civilian areas in border district of Poonch this morning.

Defence Spokesperson said that at about 07:40 in the morning, Pakistani troops violated



ceasefire by firing  of small arms and shelling by mortars along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kirni sector in border district of Poonch.

Alert Indian troops retaliated and gave a befitting reply. No loss of life or damage was reported from Indian side.
