Parliament will resume the Budget Session today, after a three-day break. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha remained paralysed amid protests by the Telugu Desam Party, AIADMK and other opposition parties.

The TDP has been demanding special status to Andhra Pradesh and AIADMK wants the setting up of a Cauvery Management 
Board. Opposition have stalled the proceedings of current session in both the Houses for last 15 days. The session will come to an end on 6th of April. 

In the Lok Sabha, the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Bill, 2018 is scheduled to be introduced today.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will move the Bill to provide for a comprehensive mechanism to ban the unregulated deposit schemes and to protect the interest of depositors.

The Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and Rehabilitation) Bill, 2018, the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (Amendment) Bill 2018, the Commercial



Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2018 and the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Bill, 2018 are also scheduled to be introduced in the Lower House.

The Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill, 2018, the Chit Funds(Amendment) Bill, 2018 and the National Council for Teacher Education (Amendment) Bill, 2017 will come up for consideration and passing in the House.

In the Rajya Sabha, the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2017, the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, 2013 and the State Banks (Repeal and Amendment) Bill, 2017 are listed for consideration and passing.

The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill was passed by the Lok Sabha in April last year. The bill proposes significant changes in the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.

It proposes high penalties for various traffic offences, and makes Aadhaar mandatory for getting a driving licence and vehicle registration.
