Partial lockdown to begin from today in Tamil Nadu

In Tamil Nadu, a partial lockdown will begin today. Cinema halls, gyms, recreation clubs, bars, auditoriums and meeting halls were shut down from four this morning. In a bid to control the cluster spread of Covid, the State Government clamped curfew yesterday and locked down all the districts.Shopping malls and complexes will remain closed following covid clusters. 

However stand alone grocery vegetable



and other outlets will be allowed after following standard operating procedure. In Tamilnadu, over 15 thousand people tested positive yesterday alone. As many as 11 thousand people got discharged from hospitals after treatment. The active cases in the state increased to more than one lakh . Chennai reported over four thousand new cases and over 31 thousand people are undergoing treatment .
